When it comes to Halloween costumes, you've more than likely bought, rented or assembled something out of your closet. Or maybe you're still on the hunt for a costume.

All of your decorations are on display and your treat bags have been purchased and are ready to go into the hands of trick-or-treaters, but do you really know the history as to why children and adults wear costumes and why we have Halloween decorations and parties?

A holiday with many origins

There are different beliefs as to how the origin of Halloween celebrations started, but most believe the ancient tradition that is rooted back some 2,000 years ago to an ancient Celtic pagan festival of customs and superstitions. The festival was called Samhain, which stands for "summer's end," or "Hallowtide," the night of the great fire festival. The festival marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of the dark winter season. It was celebrated Oct. 31.

What it really nice and rich looking cards that you did - as usual, I might add. I really like the color maroon in gold, he makes any project look very rich. My two favorite things in life are JustRite stamps and Spellbinders dies. All I can do many wonderful things with them.

And just to let you know, for the last three hours, I'm sitting here looking at your previous work and was busy in the many ideas that you find.I just finished reading the instructions on your seed card that you have done for Mother's Day - with bags of paper and closing his fist high. I thought about how many things I can do with this idea! Wow ....

I really, really love these cards - they are beautiful and very elegant.

I was busy doing JustRite Christmas cards - stamps I bought from you are really good cards for quick and easy - they are very versatile too (although I suppose you do not need me to tell you that because you already know - LOL) - I'm just happy for them! A swag is a set of Christmas cards in no time. And, of course, every time I look at your photos I am uber-inspired - thank you so much!
